Founded in 1735, BLANCPAIN is the world’s oldest surviving watchmaking Maison. For nearly three centuries, the brand has remained true to its philosophy, “Innovation is our tradition,” preserving the spirit of pure mechanical watchmaking while continuously advancing the art of haute horlogerie and safeguarding rare craftsmanship. In 1983, Blancpain helped usher in the revival of mechanical watchmaking with its complete calendar moon phase timepiece. The Maison went on to master six landmark complications and achievements, including ultra-thin movements, perpetual calendars, split-seconds chronographs, minute repeaters and flying tourbillons, reaffirming the foundations of traditional fine watchmaking. Blancpain’s exploration of the art of time extends beyond mechanical complexity to the realm of Métiers d’Art. At its dedicated workshop in Le Brassus, master artisans preserve exceptional techniques including engraving, enamelling, Shakudō and damascening, bringing cultural traditions from across regions and eras to life through fine watchmaking. BLANCPAIN will present its World Masterpiece Exhibition Brand Day at TAIPEI 101 under the theme “A Tradition of Innovation.” Through six landmark watchmaking achievements, world-first mechanical innovations, Métiers d’Art creations and exceptional timepieces, the exhibition reveals how the Maison has continued to innovate through nearly three centuries of heritage, constantly redefining the possibilities of fine watchmaking. The event will mark the first unveiling of the exceptional Villeret Tourbillon Carrousel in this setting, alongside rare creations from the Métiers d’Art collection, high jewellery timepieces and diamond-set watches.
